What Is Semaglutide?

Semaglutide is an injectable FDA-approved prescription diabetes medication that you may know as Ozempic, proven to help overweight adults lose weight and keep the weight off. This once-weekly injection is for adults who are overweight or obese and have at least one weight-related health condition.

Hangover recovery

Semaglutide works by mimicking Glucagon-Like Peptide-1 (GLP-1) in the body, increasing insulin secretion, slowing down gastric emptying which delays how fast your stomach empties food. This can suppress your appetite—making you feel full longer—helping you eat less and lose weight in the process.

Schedule an initial virtual or in person exam with our nurse practitioner. After a quick assessment our provider will determine if Semaglutide is right for you.

Local patients can pick up meds and supplies at our clinic.

Semaglutide requires once a week injections, at any time of day, with or without food. Average weight loss is 1-4 pounds per week.

Average time on the Semaglutide weight loss program depends on each individual's goals but time varies between 20-40 weeks to safely and effectively reach appropriate weight loss goals.
